Atlanta, GA June 16th Workshop

  • CNN Center 1 CNN Center, Atlanta, GA 30303 Atlanta, GA, 30303 United States (map)

Come join Shani Varner on a 5 hour crash course on portrait storytelling.

In our classes I aim to not only go over the technical side of how I am able to achieve my empathetic style in every concept/theme I attempt, but give you the tools necessary to master your own perspective and convey who you are much clearer to the audience you so choose.

We go over how to use posing, acting, composition, wardrobe, location, color, lighting, camera gear, and your one of a kind past, present & future to create the most impactful pieces of art you have yet to make.

Join the dozens that have walked away from our classes with a brand new mind-set of all the beauty this world has to offer, and how to capture said beauty forever.

Workshop Schedule :

Orientation : The day will start off at the CNN Center in downtown Atlanta. Once everyone arrives I will go over in great detail what I plan to teach during the class as well as my artistic journey and how I turned it from a hobby to a full-time career traveling throughout the country working with brands and models from around the world.

Mid day - Sunset Shoot : We will go over the techniques I use on a daily basis for location scouting, lighting, composition, conveying my vision clearly and efficiently no matter the experience level of the individual I work with, posing, styling, and each one of the students will have 1 on 1 feedback and tailored tips on how to improve their personal style consistently.

Night Shoot : Night work tends to be a hassle for most photographers since we all start off working in prime shooting situations with a plethora of light. But I plan to teach you how to manipulate every light source to your disposal no matter what camera or lens you have. I will breakdown my settings, lighting choices, and maneuvering throughout the city avoiding potential hazards and giving you my inside scoop on the best locations in the city very few people know about.
